In 2017, a vehicle crashed into the front of the landmark building – causing significant damage. However, during repair, construction workers unintentionally discovered the original cast-iron architectural arches, which had been concealed by a renovation completed generations earlier.

The McAdams and Morford Building was originally constructed in 1849 and was occupied by its namesake, druggists McAdams & Morford, for nearly 100 years.
